Hill-Stead Museum Wedding Farmington CT: Jennifer and Eric!

The Hill-Stead Museum–a little slice of Vermont set in the Hartford suburbs–was the site of Jennifer and Eric’s wedding in late summer.   Jennifer met Eric in the Hill-Stead sunken garden, wearing her Pronovias dress with flowers from Azalea Floral Design.   We were all thrilled the rain held off for the first look and portraits around the beautiful property.  As the rain hit, we headed to the fun and festive Sperry Tents  for their wedding ceremony, a great meal and fun dancing.  So nice seeing Jessi and Chris and Jessi’s family, whose wedding we photographed last summer…and we really enjoyed getting to know Jen’s mom, Alice too!  The wedding was planned by our good friends Lindsay and Talia from Sixpence for your Shoe event planners, with delicious catering from Debbie Grazier at Avon’s Riverhouse Catering.  We always love photographing at the Hill-Stead with its local history…and we are always discovering new backgrounds for photos…who knew that vintage wallpaper was upstairs!

Thanks Jennifer and Eric for having us document your day!  To see many more photos please click here…..

We love our town…West Hartford CT.  It’s diverse and very civic-minded, and has something for everyone from an urban restaurant scene to hiking trails on Avon Mountain.

During 2014 we got the opportunity to work with our local West Hartford Magazine.  Joy Taylor, Chief Operating Officer and Tom Hickey, Editor and Publisher, are terrific and very involved in all sorts of West Hartford events such as the Holiday Stroll a few weeks ago.  They’ve also launched hyper-local WeHa.com…kind of a hometown Patch website.

Here are two cover stories we photographed for West Hartford Magazine of two great guys…Jim Chapdelaine, Emmy award winning musician…..and Kevin Keenan, Operations Manager for the West Farms Mall.
