Happy spring weather Connecticut!  The Knot’s Wedding Channel just featured Kait and Kelvin’s wonderful wedding from last August.  Their super-festive wedding combined the Englishy setting on Hartford’s Trinity College campus with a whole lot of Latin rhythm….lots of love and lots of fun details…take a look.   Have a great spring Kait and Kelvin!!

Back to some wedding news…heard from a bride-to-be that she saw us in The Knot New York magazine….so I picked up a copy and saw that we made Best of Weddings and an Editor’s Pick for Connecticut photographers.  These ratings come via WeddingChannel.com from newly married couples.  Many thanks and here’s to a wonderful wedding season!

Another snowstorm is on the way here in CT but just think…only 86 days until JUNE!  And June of course is prime wedding season…and come June 16th our clients Hollen and Adam celebrate their 1st anniversary. Last week their Branford CT seaside wedding was featured on Martha Stewart Weddings along with a post on the Martha Stewart Brides Guide.

Hollen and Adam are true soul mates with a love of travel and adventure…at their wedding the tables were named for their favorite trip locations…and you can see their photos from their Greek honeymoon on the Martha Stewart Wedding site too…nice shots!   A really nice couple, their wedding at Adam’s grandmother’s home overlooking Stony Creek harbor was meaningful and stylish…and lots of fun.   As always, it was a pleasure working with Kristen and Lauren from Bellafare wedding planners and a great group of vendors including Sperry Tents, Buzz Media video, Blush Floral Design, The White Dress by the Shore,  Jennie Fresa makeup and A Thyme to Cook.  Click here or the image below to see their article.

Today’s Style Me Pretty Little Black Book Blog features Eleanor and Matt’s Wedding at Tyrone Farm in Pomfret CT!  Relaxed and stylish–that fits both Eleanor and Matt and their wedding.  Their super-creative team of vendors included Chocolate Creative Design, Tyrone Farm,  Hana Floral Design, and The White Dress by the Shore and Gourmet Galley.  Congrats, Eleanor and Matt!

The June / July copy of Town & Country magazine came in the mail today..and the lead wedding story of Alli and Dave’s wonderful wedding we photographed last September in Garrison NY!  Below you see a few photos from their ceremony at Our Lady of Loretto in Cold Spring NY and their French Country style reception at Alli’s parents’ home high above the Hudson River.  Such a fun and warm wedding–and it was a pleasure working with great folks like event planner Elizabeth Allen and LMD Floral who created a magical world of flowers, lanterns and trees under the tent!   Wishing a very happy summer to Alli & Dave and their families!

Happy Monday!  Jane’s photo of Rachel and Anil’s Lenox MA wedding placed in WPJA’s photo contest.  WPJA is the Wedding Photojournalist Association…the site for documentary style photogs.  Rachel and Anil were married in a wonderful tented wedding at Chesterwood (beautiful venue for your wedding–check them out) up in Stockbridge MA in the Berkshires last May…here’s the shot of them having some photobooth fun!

What a way to bring on the green today with a gorgeous Style Me Pretty feature of Julia and Jared’s Connecticut country wedding!  Julia and Jared were married last May at her family’s home in Litchfield CT with an outdoor ceremony and tented reception set in the rolling hills of northwest Connecticut.  Their wedding brought together that perfect blend of city style and country chic (the tuxes and dinner jackets looked great in the pastoral setting).  With all the snow and rain last year the hay on the fields on their property was well over knee-high–Julia’s father almost had them cut for their wedding—we’re glad he left them high because the grassy texture made a beautiful backdrop for photos!

The prettiest pastel flowers from Earth Blossoms in Harwinton decorated the bouquets, chuppah and all around–really outstanding.   And we had the opportunity to worked alongside Mike from Buzz Media Company, who filmed their wedding.

Spanning the globe…from way down in New Zealand, our album company Queensberry just featured on their blog the book we made highlighting the first year of life for Landon, the adorable son of Lindsay and Stephen, our friends and neighbors in West Hartford.  Lindsay’s a terrific wedding planner with her Sixpence for your Shoe event business which we work with often.  As for these press printed books, they’re top quality like all Queensberry products and our clients use them for family portraits, engagement shoots and wedding guest books.  More shots here…
