Jen and John’s Wedding at the Boat Shed at Lighthouse Point, Mystic Seaport
Back in the day…my second date with Jane was a sailing trip from Connecticut to Block Island. When we returned to CT we set off for our home in Boston but decided to veer off I-95 and stop in Mystic. We ended up spending all day just hanging out on the dock next to the Mystic drawbridge…ahh our budding romance : }
So it was fitting that years later we were back in Mystic with a fantastic couple, Jen and John, for their beautiful wedding at the Boat Shed at Lighthouse Point in Mystic Seaport. Their wedding ceremony was set against a classic backdrop of the lighthouse with the beautiful wooden schooner Brilliant docked alongside. Lots of laughter all day long–Jen is the happiest person we’ve ever met (and John’s not far behind!).
A fun, warm wedding where everyone enjoyed the last days of summer in the perfect place. The sailors docked at the Boat Shed even blew the conch shell when Jen and John were married! Nice nautical touches included the wooden lobster buoy for guests to sign, starfish place cards, and the sea foam green accents from the dresses to the wedding cake. It was very nice working with Alyson, the event coordinator from Mystic Seaport. Their caterer, Coastal Gourmet, were great as well. If you haven’t been in awhile, make plans to check out Mystic Seaport–we’re excited to take the boys there soon.
Really nice wedding–thanks Jen and John for having us document your day!!
