Bar and Bat Mitzvah Information

CT Bar and Bat Mitzvah Photography

As CT Bat and Bar Mitzvah photographers, we love to tell the unique story of your child’s Bat or Bar Mitzvah from the service or re-enactment, to portraits of them and your family…to the emotion and excitement of the party.  We’ll also capture the nuances of the day and candid photos of you and your guests.

As parents to teen boys, we have a special appreciation for this age group!

If you need portraits of your child ahead of time for invitations, websites and party decor, we offer a variety of location ideas for a fun and distinctive photo shoot for your child.  We also offer beautiful Queensberry albums for documenting the occasion.

Based in West Hartford, CT we photograph bat and bar mitzvahs throughout greater Connecticut.  We have a studio in West Hartford center if you’d like to meet in person or we can easily do a phone call.  Just reach out via the contact form.

CT Bar and Bat Mitzvah FAQs

  • What is your photographic style?
We photograph in a natural, editorial style--like making a magazine story of your child's Bar or Bat Mitzvah. From portraits to candids and details, we strive for true and beautiful images that tell a unique story of your family.
  • What's included in our package?
All packages include one photographer coverage of the service or re-enactment with portraits of the Bar / Bat Mitzvah child and family and photography at the party including extended family portraits. Six weeks after the celebration you'll receive the edited high-resolution printable digital files. Additional photographers, Queensberry albums, framed portraits and additional portrait sessions are available as add-ons.
  • Can we meet at your studio?
Yes, we meet with most of our Bar or Bat mitzvah clients in our West Hartford Center studio (across from Starbucks on LaSalle Road). It’s a great opportunity to get to know each other and discuss the plan for the day. It's also an opportunity to see the wall portrait and album options.
  • What happens after our event?
We select the best photos from the several thousand images taken. We edit the photo files for exposure, color and cropping. For aesthetic reasons we turn some to black and white. Within six weeks, we’ll post these finished photos to a password-protected online gallery from which you, family and friends can view and order prints and select favorites for albums.
Six weeks after the Bar / Bat Mitzvah you'll also receive the edited printable high-resolution files.
