Always love a chance to tour the nooks & crannies of the Yale campus, so it was a treat to meet Yalies Pam and Nick a few weeks back for their engagement shoot at the Yale Daily News where they met as undergrads.  I (Jane) love it when couples incorporate a place with meaning into their photo shoots.  Despite the stormy night across the state we had the opportunity to shoot a little outside with and without umbrellas, but in the end I found the inside of the YDN’s Briton Hadden Memorial Building on York St. to be most interesting backdrop for the shoot.  We had the run of the place for the night…a special thanks to Yale for opening it up to us!   Pam and Nick, so fun…looking forward to your September wedding!  And thank you for being so adventurous!  Click here to see more pics…

Molto simpatico–that’s what Hollen and Adam are–they just are a couple and complement each other so well.  This pair who’ve dated since the 10th grade were married outside at Adam’s grandmother’s home on Long Island Sound in Branford CT overlooking the village of Stony Creek.  That’s where some thirty years ago Adam’s parents were married (and his grandparents share the June 16 wedding date as well).  I can see a string of beautiful weddings here well into the future.

Beforehand Hollen and Adam shared a first sight at the Madison Beach Hotel and grabbed a few pics with their furry child, the loveable Yellow Lab Brody.  Brody figured big in this wedding, with Adam’s cool silver Lab cufflinks and the signature drink, Brody’s Breeze. As fellow Lab “parents” we totally understand!   Onto Branford, which was the ideal setting for a seaside wedding with a dock extending over the water offering views of the Thimble Islands and a Sperry Tent gracing the lawn.  Inside, the beyond gorgeous flowers from Blush Floral Design in soft pink, yellow and white decorated the tables named for their special places from Paris and London to Mt. Snow and Santorini.

Hollen and Adam looked great, with Hollen in her Modern Trousseau dress from White Dress by the Shore and make-up by Jennie Fresa.  Many cool details in grays and pinks from the parasols to all the beautiful paper–invitation, menus and programs–from Mr. Boddington’s Studio.  A perfect planning job by Kristin and Lauren of Bellafare (and Hollen and Adam too)–and so nice to see you again!

A Thyme To Cook catered the wedding in style and our fave filmmaker Mike from Buzz Media captured tons of footage for his film.

Thanks Hollen and Adam!!  Congratulations!!  To view many, many more photos click here…

We first met Emily at her brother Brendan’s wedding to Mika down on the CT shore at the Eolia Mansion two summers ago.  So it was great seeing Emily and her whole family again just a few weeks ago–and to meet her man Matt–for their wonderful wedding at the Lake of Isles in North Stonington CT!   That morning Matt had given Emily a drawing of a lady bug, and after their first look a little lady bug landed on Emily’s dress…good karma all around!  Thanks guys for getting into the woods for photos!

Everyone was happy to have another sunshine-filled Saturday as their ceremony got underway on the Lake of Isles deck.  Polks dots abounded from Emily’s pretty dress to the Champagne flutes and cake and the lovely flowers came from Cedar Grove Gardens up in Dorchester MA where Matt worked in Junior High.  After several toasts and a lot of laughs folks got jiggy down on the dance floor with some energetic Boston Irish dancing.

Thanks so much and congratulations Emily and Matt!  Have a wonderful summer!!  To see more photos click here…
