Gifts of Love’s ’70s “Night Out in Style” in Avon CT!
Won’t you take me to funky town…that would be West Simsbury CT just before Thanksgiving for the Gifts of Love 70s “Night Out in Style” held at Hoffman Honda, head sponsor of the event. Our friend & uber-planner Adria organized the event, which featured Billy Grant himself cooking up a storm, WTIC funny man Damon Scott as m.c., the sounds of local band, Poor Gordon, and our Jane in the “Lava Lounge” snapping away. Debbie Wright of Project Closet and Better Connecticut was on hand along with Hair Loft owner Maura Fitzgerald, donating their styling services in the auction.
The guests really got into the look of the 70s, featuring dueling McEnroes…our friend Scott had the short shorts and headband goin’ on…and loved Teresa’s look below! Nice seeing our friends and we ran into our clients Bill and Arlene whose 50th anniversary party I photographed last summer. Fun night for a local cause: Gifts of Love, based in Avon, helps Farmington Valley folks in need with food, clothing and furniture, especially necessary following October’s snowstorm.
