It was a momentous night on October 29th for Colten’s Bar Mitzvah at The Loading Dock in Stamford CT—and the “historic storm” Nor’easter didn’t damper the celebration one iota.  Really nice photographing all the love that Colten’s family has for him.  As parents of two young boys, it’s touching to see a boy at 13;  all grown up in some ways, and all boy in others.  Late in the night came a huge surprise…the Special Musical Guest…Sean Kingston, the superstar Jamaican-American reggae-pop-rap singer who played 30 minutes plus of his hits including “Fire Burning”.  Amazing to see the crowd of kids go wild…kind of like Beatlemania for today’s generation.  Sean’s security guys had their hands full with the exuberant young fans!  Great night–so nice to work again with Elizabeth Allen, event planner who did an awesome job.  And fun working side-by-side again with Michele and her creative team from Films by Francesco.

Mazel Tov Colten!  And thanks Joann and Gary for having us photograph your wonderful celebration!

It was a pleasure photographing Kristin and Dan’s wedding at the art deco Gershon Fox Room in downtown Hartford in late October.  This was our first time shooting there–love the night club look and feel.  It was fitting that we began (back in  February in knee-deep snow at the Society Room) and ended our 2011 wedding season in downtown Hartford.  This time with Kristin and Dan we had a chance to visit the vintage Hartford City Hall for a fun photo shoot inside and out.

Loved the sage color of Kristin’s bridesmaids dresses by Aria and Kristin’s shoes…looked awesome next to Kristin in her great dress by Lazaro and the guys’ tuxes.  And we reunited with the La Blanc Brothers band who played for Alicia and Ted’s wedding back in August–great band!

Kristin and Dan, congratulations…thanks so much for having us photograph your wedding!!

Right in between a hurricane and a snowstorm Amber and Bryce got married in a New England fall classic wedding…that was totally fun!  We started with the ceremony at the Ethel Walker School chapel, then moseyed to the Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge in Simsbury for photos in the waning light.  It was client reunion day for us with Erin and Brie (with hubbies Eric and Matt) who supported their great friend Amber as bridesmaids.  A night of toasting, dancing and dining at Simsbury’s The Riverview followed.  Amber’s beautiful dress was from designer Jim Hjelm, and her lovely flowers came from Stems Flower Design.  Nice chatting with Steve from Steve Fowler Films, and everyone enjoyed the high energy music from NYC’s Hank Lane Band.

Amber and Bryce, thanks so much…congratulations!!
