Field Club of Greenwich CT Rehearsal Dinner: Kelly and Jordan!
You betcha there was a little bit of Wisconsin at the Field Club of Greenwich at Kelly and Jordan’s relaxed and reminiscing rehearsal dinner hosted by Jordan’s mother Linda at the Field Club of Greenwich!
Jordan’s family brought some midwest flavor back east with Wisconsin Leinenkugels, brats, cheese curds and German potato salad. And from Jordan’s California side of the family guests received favors of delicious Spaans cookies to take home.
Super cute photos of Kelly and Jordan through the years decorated the long tables, and the warm evening weather was tailor-made for poolside cocktails and dining outside. What followed was a series of wonderful toasts beginning with Linda’s tribute to Jordan and Kelly, leading to Kelly’s sister and best friend Kaitlin, and speeches from many of their best friends from different stages of life. Lots of fun, lots of family hugs, and lots of cute kids enjoying the festivities (and cookies)!

Riverside Yacht Club Wedding Fairfield County : Diah and Colin!
The Endless Summer. I used to have that dayglo movie poster on my wall back in the day. A few weeks ago at Diah and Colin’s wedding, Colin’s brother Andrew–as only one’s siblings can do–recounted the time that his teenage brother, inspired by that surfing movie, handmade his own surfboard…and took to the waters of Long Island Sound on an oddly-shaped, sinking fiberglass creation. So it was all quite fitting that Colin and Diah were married in the summer, at the seaside–with a gorgeous red-orange sunset for a backdrop at the Riverside Yacht Club in Greenwich CT.
Guests, many who traveled from India, dined under the tent decorated with flowers from Something Special florist, before hitting to the dance floor bigtime to the high energy sounds of Joe D’Elia and the Allstar Band. All very relaxed and in-the-moment, right up to the sparkler exit, when Diah & Colin hopped a getaway on Riverside’s harbor launch.
It was nice to return to the Riverside Yacht Club and a it was pleasure working with Slainte event planners from Madison CT. Congratulations Diah and Colin and your parents!! Enjoy your 2nd wedding celebration in India…and thanks for having us photograph your day!

Fairfield County CT Sperry Tent Wedding: Allison and Richard!
Hosting your daughter’s wedding at your home may seem daunting to some (see Father of the Bride) but Debbie and Jack made it all look easy…and beautiful and relaxed.
Allison and Richard’s wedding at her parents’ lovely home overlooking a pond in Darien CT was perfect in every way. From the leisurely cocktail party to dinner under the Sperry Tent (all catered by Marcia Selden Catering with gorgeous flowers from Westport’s KD&J Botanica); from the ride to the church in a Packard 1940s woodie station to the extremely high energy dance party…it was all a joyous celebration in great style.
Wonderful speeches from Allison’s father and the brothers on both sides welcomed the couple into an even bigger, loving family. Then the party amped up and–as Richard recommended in his speech–people got their rage on, ending in a bridal mosh pit of sorts as the Party on the Moon band played on (see final pics)!
