Go Mets!  It’s opening day for the New York Mets at Citi Field (and Santana’s back on the mound!) and we can now show you the portraits we took in March in Port St. Lucie FL at Spring Training.  As always it’s great working with Julie, our client at SportsNet NY (SNY), which uses the photos during game broadcasts for player intros, etc.  This is our fourth year shooting the Mets at Spring Training, where we set up a studio in the visiting team’s locker room and shoot all the players at 7am on “Picture Day” in 90 minutes.

Our assignment is to capture a different side of the players from straight sports photography–this year SNY’s art director asked for a split-face shot for their on-screen use.  Photos of David Wright, Johan Santana, Josh Thole, Ike Davis, Manny Acosta, Daniel Murphy, R.A. Dickey, Mike Pelfrey, Ruben Tejada, Miguel Batista, former ’86 Met and 3rd base coach Tim Teufel…and others are below.  Take a look and root for the Mets in their 50th season…Let’s Go Mets!!  To see more of our NY Mets photos click here.  To visit our commercial photography website click www.photojane.com.

Another bit of summer to warm things up…a couple of Caity and Matt’s wedding photos were used by Connecticut Bride Magazine for their Receptions article highlighting distinctive places to hold your wedding…such as our two shots of the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington CT, shown below.  Whether you’re looking for a tented reception or intimate indoor wedding, check out the Hill-Stead just up the hill from Farmington’s classic Main Street.

Happy Monday Morning!  Here’s a burst of lavender and aqua blue to brighten your day…Brie and Matt’s June wedding at the Salt Water Farm Vineyard in Stonington…with a stop at Mystic’s Sea View clam shack.  Their wedding was featured in La Bella Bride Magazine’s current issue.  As always it was a pleasure working with Lindsay and Talia from Sixpence for Your Shoe event planners, and love the aliums and flowers from Stems Flower Design.
