I just did a dream commercial job a few weeks ago, being hired by Swarovski to document the reinstallation of their Sputnik chandeliers at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.  They had all the crystals refurbished for the upcoming 50th anniversary of Lincoln Center.  I got the opportunity to shoot the entire  four-day installation and felt I was documenting a piece of history in a city I love!

We were recently hired to photograph potter Guy Wolff in his Litchfield studio for Napa Home and Garden and for their submission to the Smith and Hawken catalog.  If you have been in Smith and Hawken, you will probably recognize Guy’s beautiful pots.  If you are ever in Litchfield, the studio is worth a stop where you can buy his pots direct.  Here are a few of the pics from a very interesting assignment:

Tuesday night we got to shoot the annual fundraiser "Celebraintion" for The Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford.  It was a dinner, auction and Scrabble/Sudoku/Crossword-fest and was hosted by Brad Drazen, Morning Anchor of NBC-30.  Here’s a few highlights:

The Literacy Volunteers are focused on teaching adults to read.  It’s pretty astounding to know that 41% of Hartford residents operate at the lowest level of literacy.  If you are interested in becoming a tutor, donating, or helping out, feel free to them direct or ask us questions.  My husband Mike is tutoring once a week now and loving it!
