30 Days of Doing the Impossible
Welcome to Jane’s personal project “30 Days of Doing the Impossible”. We are thrilled to be working with The Impossible Project who are making new instant films to work in old polaroid cameras! We will be shooting their Silver Shade film on Thursday, 9/16 at Real Art Ways Creative Cocktail Hour in Hartford, 6-10 and creating a live art assemblage and YOU ARE INVITED! Please join us and say hi….check out the link for details.
For the 30 Days project I am using their brand new Color Shade film…which has a beautiful, soft tone that I already love. As people photographers, we document and create images of other people and their lives …for this project I’m going to document my own life, family, home, interests, friends over the next 30 days. Almost all our work is digital now…I’m really looking forward to slowing down to create one image at a time! You can see one image from each daily shoot on Facebook and a weekly update here!
Below is my test image of little Jude using the PX70 Color Shade FF film and a vintage SX-70 camera on loan from the Impossible Project…this film has to be kept from light and developed face down for at least 2 minutes!
Thank you to the Impossible Project for their support of this project and our Real Art Ways event! If you are ever in SoHo, check out The Impossible Project Space gallery/store.

Jane and Sebbie in NYC
A few weeks ago I took our 6 year old Sebbie into New York for an overnighter to spend some one-on-one time together. It was one of the best times we’ve ever had and I really want to do more trips like this.
We checked out MoMA where we saw Picasso and the Tim Burton exhibit and I raced through the Cartier-Bresson photo exhibit. Then it was off to the the Central Park Zoo for some penguin time.
Thanks Megan and Bret for the tip on Serendipity 3 (…home of the frozen hot chocolate!) and thanks to Kathleen for the advice on seeing the Central Park playgrounds!
Here are a few snaps from our trip…love you Sebbie!
