They are the talent!  Michelle and Jim (she on vocals, he on guitar) took center stage at their own wedding at West Hartford’s Pond House Cafe last month, playing Motown to kickoff  their reception off at West Hartford’s Pond House Cafe in August.  Their outdoor ceremony in flowery Elizabeth Park featured friends singing and playing George Harrison’s My Sweet Lord with Michelle in a beautiful one shoulder Amsale dress from The White Dress by the Shore and jewelry from Aquinnah.  The concert / wedding continued inside at the Pond House Cafe and Michelle came back for several encores later in the night to sing with Steve Wexler and The Top Shelf.  Total superstars!!

Rock on Michelle and Jim and thanks very much for having us photograph your day!!  To see many more photos please click here

With sea kayakers gliding by, Jen and Doug were married outside at the Madison Beach Hotel overlooking West Wharf Beach in Madison CT.   This beach seems like a bit of Martha’s Vineyard plunked down on the Connecticut shore and made for a peaceful and reflective place to get married.

After the ceremony we got a chance to photograph Jen and Doug and their wedding party in the beautiful light on the huge rock formations at the edge of the water. Then some serious partying and dancing ensued, led by Jen!  The Madison Beach Hotel is really nice resort, perfect for unplugging for a weekend…or longer.  And Madison is a gem of a town, so accessible but feeling miles away.

Thank you Jen and Doug for having us document your wedding day…congratulations!  To see many more photos please click here

Green grass, blue sky, white dress and a red truck….along with one very happy couple.  It all adds up to a wonderful Connecticut Shore backyard wedding for Marina and James in Old Lyme earlier in August!   Just perfect, from the relaxed summery feel of the cocktail party on the lawn to dinner & dancing under the big tent set on Marina’s parents’ beautiful yard.

Marina radiated happiness throughout the day, looking great in her stylish Monique Lhuillier dress.  Lots of white and lavender touches from James’ tie to the purple flowers from Old Lyme’s Elements to the bridesmaids in cool white dresses…even their puppy was decked out for the wedding and quite eager to run down the aisle at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme!  After cocktails and dinner, there were s’mores galore at the fireplace and lots of Instagramming of fun photos, then folks danced all night to the music of the Search Party Band.   Madison’s Culinary Concerts provided the catering and event coordination–a wonderful job.  And it was fun again to work alongside Steve and his team from Steven Fowler Films.

Congratulations Marina and James–thanks for having us capture your day!!  To see lots more photos click here
