Kimberly and Taso’s Wedding at 632 on Hudson in New York City
Summer in the City!!
Kimberly and Taso got married last week at the intimate antiques-filled 632 on Hudson in New York City in the West Village on the edge of the Meatpacking District. A really festive loving wedding with two wonderful families on a very summery night.
Things kicked off in lower Manhattan at the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park, while Taso got dressed nearby at his apartment in Battery Park City overlooking the Hudson and the Statue of Liberty. Then off to the ceremony….632 on Hudson is a four story 1847 townhouse with tons of texture and light streaming into the 40-foot atrium from above. Lots of nooks for cocktails & conversation…and there’s a beautiful roof garden up top.
Post ceremony Jane and the bridal party went into the Meatpacking District for a really fun and colorful photo shoot. Late in the night several generations of sorority sisters from Alpha Kappa Alpha serenaded
Kimberly and Taso on the dance floor–very sweet.
Alongside the antiques were nice photos of Kimberly and Taso and their parents, warming the mood. It was great working with Annie from Daughter of Design wedding planners and Adam their videographer who works with the Clinton Foundation. Great food from Marcey Braunstein Catering, and the acoustic guitar duo of Eduardo Garcia and Marcelo fit the mood so well.
Have to mention the shoes…love Kimberly’s Manolos for the ceremony and the J.Crew flip flops but our faves are the pink Christian Louboutins…very sassy.
Kimberly and Taso, thanks so much for having us photograph your wedding! Enjoy the Amalfi Coast!

Julie and Nate’s Wedding at the Society Room in Hartford
We were just down Asylum Avenue from West Hartford for Julie and Nate’s wonderfully classic wedding at Hartford’s Asylum Hill Congregational Church and at the Society Room in Hartford.
The Asylum Hill Church is famous for helping the surrounding community and like Julie’s parents, several of our neighbors and friends are active members.
At the Society Room, Julie’s father retold the story of Nate’s proposal to Julie–which included a surprise trip to England where Nate proposed at Leeds Castle in Kent. Back in the day I (Mike) used to bring my bike on the train to bike around Leeds Castle and the surrounding countryside when I lived in England. If you are in the London area, plan a trip out there–you’ll love it!
Julie and Nate had an absolutely perfect wedding cake in Tiffany blue and white by Konditor Meister German bakery of Braintree, MA…really striking. The Society Room has tons of style and makes a perfect location for both the cocktail hour upstairs and the dinner and dancing downstairs. Paula Gallo from Pentimento Flowers, who we’ve enjoyed working with before, provided the gorgeous floral displays. And it was great to see Kathy Sciano again from Millennium Music, the trio that played during the reception.
Julie and Nate, congratulations and thanks very much for having us document your wedding!

Amanda & Matt and Megan & Hugh Featured in Brides Connecticut Fall 2010
Just got some advance copies of Brides Connecticut Magazine Fall / Winter 2010 (seems strange to write that given the heatwave this week…) where you can check out Amanda and Matt’s 2009 tent wedding in Fairfield. I think we’ve had more interest in the china from Party Rental Ltd. than any other detail we’ve ever posted!
Great to see the other vendors highlighted too: A Romona Keveza gown from The Plumed Serpent Bridal, delicious catering by Plum Pure Foods & Catering, the clear-ceiling tent from Northeast Tent Productions and the amazing flowers from KD&J Botanica.
In the same issue we also were interviewed for an article on best places for portraits…and were happy to see our recommendation of The Florence Griswold Museum Old Lyme included along with a photo of Megan and Hugh in the gardens.
