A land of prep schools, horse farms and hilltop vistas–Connecticut’s “Quiet Corner” was the ideal spot for Eleanor and Matt’s relaxed and elegant Provençal country wedding.  It really was relaxed, from their wedding ceremony held at the First Congregational Church of Woodstock where Eleanor’s brother Jed sang beautifully, to Tyrone Farm in Pomfret where guests grabbed a glass of Willimantic’s Hosmer Mountain Soda to cool off when they arrived.  As for the elegance, these guys looked great with Eleanor in her Anne Barge dress from White Dress by the Shore, and Matt and his groomsmen sporting white dinner jackets.

Three such dashing groomsmen were brothers Patrick, Hamilton and Matthew–so nice to see them and their wives again (we photographed Hamilton and Matthew’s weddings over the past few years).  While we’re talking bridal party…Eleanor gave her bridesmaids lovely engraved metal jewelry boxes and earrings, and Matt’s groomsmen received cool duffles made from recycled sails from Sea Fever…very nice!

This wedding featured an all-star team of vendors starting with the distinctive Tyrone Farm which is the real deal, run by Ian MacLaren with a commitment to going green (most all their electricity comes from their solar panels), free range chickens, a tent out back for dinner, gardens galore and a big barn for dancing.  The très creative Lucinda Wesson of Chocolate Creative Design designed all the paper and decor in a button & feather theme (fun feather escort cards in a chicken wire nest, mother of pearl button mosaics of E and M adorning the long tables).  Loved the French Country touches–lavender wreathes and menus with Toile linen wrap and button and tables cards with farm animals en français–just beautiful!  And one of our favorite florists, Yumiko Fletcher of Hana Floral Design made gorgeous bouquets with dahlias, roses and feathers complementing the look so well.

Gourmet Galley catered their wedding, excellent as always, and as for music, Millennium Music who we’ve worked with several times played during cocktails and then Eight to the Bar kicked it up in the barn.

Eleanor’s great smile said it all…a wonderful wedding!  Thanks so much Eleanor and Matt…congratulations!!  To see lots more photos click here

Molto simpatico–that’s what Hollen and Adam are–they just are a couple and complement each other so well.  This pair who’ve dated since the 10th grade were married outside at Adam’s grandmother’s home on Long Island Sound in Branford CT overlooking the village of Stony Creek.  That’s where some thirty years ago Adam’s parents were married (and his grandparents share the June 16 wedding date as well).  I can see a string of beautiful weddings here well into the future.

Beforehand Hollen and Adam shared a first sight at the Madison Beach Hotel and grabbed a few pics with their furry child, the loveable Yellow Lab Brody.  Brody figured big in this wedding, with Adam’s cool silver Lab cufflinks and the signature drink, Brody’s Breeze. As fellow Lab “parents” we totally understand!   Onto Branford, which was the ideal setting for a seaside wedding with a dock extending over the water offering views of the Thimble Islands and a Sperry Tent gracing the lawn.  Inside, the beyond gorgeous flowers from Blush Floral Design in soft pink, yellow and white decorated the tables named for their special places from Paris and London to Mt. Snow and Santorini.

Hollen and Adam looked great, with Hollen in her Modern Trousseau dress from White Dress by the Shore and make-up by Jennie Fresa.  Many cool details in grays and pinks from the parasols to all the beautiful paper–invitation, menus and programs–from Mr. Boddington’s Studio.  A perfect planning job by Kristin and Lauren of Bellafare (and Hollen and Adam too)–and so nice to see you again!

A Thyme To Cook catered the wedding in style and our fave filmmaker Mike from Buzz Media captured tons of footage for his film.

Thanks Hollen and Adam!!  Congratulations!!  To view many, many more photos click here

When we first spoke with Kyla and Caley, I found myself saying ‘Cayla and Kiley’ and had to keep straight whose name was whose!  Once we met, it all made sense–these two fit together as one so perfectly.

Their choice of Montauk and its new cool Sole East Resort really matched their wedding’s relaxed & real feel.   Of course, islands have unpredictable weather, so everyone geared up for an under-the-tent wedding as it poured down in the morning.  In the span of 30 minutes it all changed, however, and Kyla and Caley got their super-sunny outdoor wedding and cocktail party off without a hitch.  Just lots of good vibes all around, and, as Kyla’s mom noted, this wedding has gone down in history as “LoveFest 2012”!

Onto the reception where all the kids gathered to sing “Kyla and Caley” (written for the occasion and set to “Hey There Delilah”) with the refrain “Ohh Kyla and Caley” then everyone hit the dance floor to the music of Hank Lane’s Dane Wright band.  We’ve seen many bands–these guys truly stand out for their rapport, sound and energy they pour into their performance.  As for fashion…Kyla looked great in her Alix & Kelly wedding dress (with all the bridesmaids in individual blue dresses) as did Caley in his  J. Crew suit and Thomas Pink ties for himself and groomsmen.  And the beautiful roses, hydrangeas and other flowers came from Colony Florist from Greenwich CT

Great families and a wonderful wedding!  Congratulations and thanks so much Kyla and Caley and your families!  Click here to view many more pics
