Bellafare’s “Behind the Scenes” Wedding Video

What a great idea!  We loved this video that wedding planners, Kristin and Lauren from Bellafare put together showing what it takes to make a tented wedding happen!  We’ve really enjoyed working with Kristin and Lauren over the years…great taste and great personalities make their weddings really beautiful yet relaxed.  Here’s a look at a few favorites we’ve worked at together:  Hollen and Adam’s Wedding and Greg and Kaitlin’s Wedding, and check out the video below!  And we loved seeing two of our other favorites vendors we work with also involved in the video – Sperry Tents of course and Mike Cyr from Buzz Media who made the video and who we always recommend for his small footprint and great personality! Enjoy!

Hill-Stead Museum Wedding Farmington CT: Jennifer and Eric!

The Hill-Stead Museum–a little slice of Vermont set in the Hartford suburbs–was the site of Jennifer and Eric’s wedding in late summer.   Jennifer met Eric in the Hill-Stead sunken garden, wearing her Pronovias dress with flowers from Azalea Floral Design.   We were all thrilled the rain held off for the first look and portraits around the beautiful property.  As the rain hit, we headed to the fun and festive Sperry Tents  for their wedding ceremony, a great meal and fun dancing.  So nice seeing Jessi and Chris and Jessi’s family, whose wedding we photographed last summer…and we really enjoyed getting to know Jen’s mom, Alice too!  The wedding was planned by our good friends Lindsay and Talia from Sixpence for your Shoe event planners, with delicious catering from Debbie Grazier at Avon’s Riverhouse Catering.  We always love photographing at the Hill-Stead with its local history…and we are always discovering new backgrounds for photos…who knew that vintage wallpaper was upstairs!

Thanks Jennifer and Eric for having us document your day!  To see many more photos please click here…..

Get ready for some True Romance!  Shannon and Mike go way back to attending grade school together, growing up on the coast in Madison CT.  We had the pleasure of photographing their wedding in September at the Weekapaug Inn, the secluded getaway overlooking Block Island Sound,  just down the shore from Watch Hill RI.

Mike’s wedding present to Shannon was super thoughtful–a handmade memory book with everything from school notes they passed to pictures and items they’ve exchanged over the years.  Shannon’s present to Mike was spot-on…a Bose speaker system–Mike’s an acoustic guitar player and singer–you can catch him on Sunday afternoons at the classic Tap Room of the Griswold Inn in Essex CT.

The rain held off for the outdoor ceremony officiated by Mike’s father, and didn’t dampen spirits one bit–this was a real celebration–funky and eclectic, from the old-school vinyl records Mike played for the ceremony to Shannon’s cool Valentino Rockstud shoes.  And–this being Rhode Island–guests drank an adult version of Rhode Island’s Del’s Lemonade.  More musical touches included Shannon and her dad’s dance to Smokey Robinson’s “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me” (great father-daughter song) and a custom vinyl-looking DVD of classic tunes for all guests.  A real highlight was the speeches–the intimate setting inside the tent in the rain was perfect for hearing so many stories.  And it was so nice to see Matthew and Kaitlin again–Jane and I photographed their Watch Hill – Charlestown RI wedding a few years back.

Shannon and Mike, wishing you many years of happiness!!  Thanks so much for having us capture your wedding day in pictures!
