Hill-Stead Museum Rehearsal Dinner: Alex & Breck
Alex and Breck had a beautiful night at The Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington CT for their rehearsal dinner a few weeks ago despite the threat of rain all week! Breck’s family brought a bit of the South to New England making for a warm, relaxed event between two families who were thrilled with their children’s choices in partners. We always love hearing toasts and speeches about the couple from their family & friends–a real highlight of the night. Congratulations Alex and Breck and thank you to Breck’s mom, Jane…it was such a pleasure meeting and working with you!

reStore Personal Project Portraits: Dan “The Fix-It Man” Mahoney
When it comes to West Hartford Center, RLMCo are the local experts by far. Richard Mahoney ran the commercial real estate management company until he passed away in 2011, and this tribute in the Hartford Courant shows how much he helped make West Hartford Center a better, more vibrant place over the past decades. Today RLMCo is run by Richard’s son Mike, and his other son Dan is the property manager or “Mr. Fix-it” as he described the pitch his dad and brother made to bring him into the family business. Dan’s recently put in a thermopaned window to bring lots more light into the space…thanks Dan! Love your beard by the way! Dan’s hobbies include woodworking and raising labs (close to our heart…wonderful family dogs!)…you can check out Dan and his wife’s non-profit at labrescuect.com. RLMCo is located at 10 North Main Street in West Hartford Center.

Yale Campus Engagement Shoot: Pam and Nick!
Always love a chance to tour the nooks & crannies of the Yale campus, so it was a treat to meet Yalies Pam and Nick a few weeks back for their engagement shoot at the Yale Daily News where they met as undergrads. I (Jane) love it when couples incorporate a place with meaning into their photo shoots. Despite the stormy night across the state we had the opportunity to shoot a little outside with and without umbrellas, but in the end I found the inside of the YDN’s Briton Hadden Memorial Building on York St. to be most interesting backdrop for the shoot. We had the run of the place for the night…a special thanks to Yale for opening it up to us! Pam and Nick, so fun…looking forward to your September wedding! And thank you for being so adventurous!
