West Hartford Headshots - Next Headshot Day is December 6th. Headshot Week is January 27th - 30th.
We photograph custom headshots in our West Hartford Center studio–with monthly “headshot days”–plus farther afield and on-site at your company as well. With the rise of LinkedIn, Zoom and Teams, a professional portrait is a key element of your personal brand. Don’t worry, we make the process quick and fun and help you project your personality for a strong image that you’ll like whether you come from a big corporation or are starting your own small business. For our commercial photography business (see photojane.com) we take portraits for clients such as The Hartford, The New York Mets, UConn Men and Women’s Basketball, Virtus, GE Energy, and Bank of America. We also photograph headshots and do full branding sessions for a number of independent small business owners, entrepreneurs, realtors, lawyers, medical professionals and more. Headshot FAQs

What should I wear?
Dress appropriately for your field. Solids, stripes and big patterns work best. Avoid shirts and tops with small checks, paisleys, etc. Feel free to bring several ties or an alternate jacket to get our advice on! Women should wear matte make-up. We can provide a make-up artist upon request. We also provide a "How to Prepare" pdf if you inquire via email.

What backgrounds can I choose from?
We have backgrounds in white, dark grey, light grey, navy, blush, and tan. Please contact us to see examples. We can also clip-out your portrait to apply to whatever background you may need. You may also send your company guidelines for us to follow.

How many images do I receive and what is the turn-around time?
Headshot sessions come with one fully retouched file. We turn-around the final images in two weeks.

What retouching do you offer?
Our goal is to make you look your best--we can retouch hair, skin, teeth, weight, clothing, etc. in a natural and beautiful way.

What if I want more than a traditional head and shoulders headshot or need a number of portraits in different styles?
Please ask about our personal branding shoots which include full consultations and a variety of images.

What if I can't make headshot day or need an image fast?
We can schedule your shoot at a custom day and time. We do charge more because we set up the studio just for you. We can expedite retouching as well.

Can you match my company's style guidelines?
Yes, we have over 30 companies in the area that send us their new hires. We keep track of their corporate guidelines and match their lighting and backgrounds.

Can I host a headshot day at my company?
Yes, we host headshot days at a number of local companies (for anywhere from 5 to 70 employees per day). We also offer a service to provide one link for you to send out to your employees for them to sign-up and manage or reschedule their own time slots. Additionally, we can deliver the final retouched headshot files to each individual, making it easy on you.

Do you photograph group and team photos?
Yes, we can photograph small groups in our studio (up to 5 people) and larger teams on location. You can see some of our team photos on our commercial website (www.photojane.com) under "corporate".

Do you photograph commercial lifestyle sessions or staged candids?
Yes, clients updating their website often hire us to do a a variety of headshots, team and lifestyle images. We work to bring out the personalities of our clients in a natural way for this type of photo library so that your website images stand out and do not look like stock photos. We want to create images that help your clients connect with the the human side of your comapny.
