Planning your holiday table settings?  Here are some wedding tablescapes to get you inspired.

Alli and Dave’s tented wedding by Elizabeth Allen Events with decor by Lewis Miller Design looked like a forest when we walked in!  Love the berry napkin ring!

How about the soup being part of the decor… it was at Allison and Richard’s Marcia Selden Catering & Event Planning event with floral by our friends at KD&J Botanica!

Love Becca and James’ Bellafare wedding with floral from Dragonfly…love the beaded details and wouldn’t it be wonderful to hang lanterns or wreaths in the dining room!

Croton-on-Hudson Hudson Valley Wedding: Sam and PJ

Summer camp conjures up many good memories…including, perhaps, summer romances.  What better place to get married than back at camp?

Sam and PJ’s Hudson Valley wedding last summer had that very relaxed and romantic feel–it was held at the Senesqua Lodge in Croton Point Park on the Hudson River some twenty miles north of NYC on a warm day last August.  Lots of kids, games and cocktails on the lawn.  Inside the lodge it’s old school knotty pine with a camp kitchen where chef Ken from Amarillo Grilling brought a whole lotta Chuck-Wagon Texas cuisine north…ribs and bibs, corn bread and more.

A wonderfully relaxed celebration…thanks so much Sam and PJ for having me photograph your wedding day!  To see many more pics please click here.

How about stepping back to a much warmer and prettier time…like last September at the Hudson Valley’s Red Maple Vineyard!

Before the public ceremony, in the loft of Red Maple Vineyard’s converted barn Ilana and Mike signed a beautiful wood-cut Ketubah that Ilana’s sister, Shira created, and their four parents offered some great advice on living life as a couple.  I really enjoy photographing Ketubah ceremonies–that pause for reflection in a much more intimate setting before the larger, public celebration of your wedding is needed now more than ever.

Meanwhile back at the “other” wedding ceremony, guests made their way up the ridge high above the Hudson, where Ilana–looking stylish in her Pronovias dress–and Mike exchanged vows.  From the rustic converted barn (decorated with photos from Ilana and Mike’s life) to the outdoor fireplace set in old barn’s stone foundation (where guests toasted marshmallows late at night) the vibe was perfect for relaxing and soaking in the last bit of summer.  All nicely catered by Cornerstone Catering (who also cater Wainwright House in Rye NY).

Ilana and Mike, congratulations!  Thanks so much for having us photograph your wedding!  To see many more photos click here
