Rachel and Anil’s Wedding at Chesterwood in the Berkshires
We kicked off the spring season in style with Rachel and Anil’s wonderful wedding in Lenox MA at Chesterwood, the former summer home of the sculptor of Lincoln’s statue at the Lincoln Memorial. Before the ceremony, Rachel and Anil got ready at the country inn Devonfield, another gem in the Berkshires. This exuberant couple and their positive, loving families and friends made for a beautiful and meaningful wedding.
Jane smiled when she heard the Beatles’ Here Comes the Sun for Rachel’s processional (it was Jane and her dad’s dance song at our wedding). Rachel and Anil’s wedding wove together elements of Jewish and Indian culture and even a Norwegian tradition, where Rachel and Anil stood on chairs and kissed when guests tapped their glasses! A highlight of the night was Anil playing guitar and singing Elvis’s Can’t Help Falling in Love to Rachel surrounded by their friends and family in the tent–really memorable.
Great to work with wedding planner Lauren Daversa from NYC. This spring wedding had butterfly motifs in the cake made by Cakes by Dai and escort cards, with colorful flowers from Lenox-based Crocus Hale. Chef Michael Ballon from the well-regarded Castle Street Cafe in Great Barrington catered the event. And the Boston band Night Rhythm stood out as one of the best bands we’ve ever heard at a wedding–just excellent.
Rachel and Anil, congratulations!! Thanks so much for having us photograph your day!!!
