Branding Photography
Branding photography is great for when you want more than a traditional headshot. It’s for clients needing multiple images for a new or freshened website, social media banners, speaker portraits and more. It starts with a call or meeting to discuss your business goals so that we can develop the appropriate plan for your imagery. You will have access to our standard paper backdrops but also our custom-painted Vanity Fair-style Oliphant backdrops. We are also able to shoot on the streets of West Hartford or at your local business. We can brainstorm location ideas together at our meeting. We photograph small and big businesses – from solopreneurs like realtors and coaches, to lawyers and wealth managers, retail stores, healthcare professionals and Fortune 500 companies. Can you help me brainstorm ideas for the shoot?
Yes. After you book, we will have a detailed phone or in-person meeting to brainstorm and plan the entire shoot including outfits, style, locations, feel, etc. With a marketing degree and an MBA, Jane is uniquely suited to help you match your images to your brand.

What is the difference between a headshot and personal branding session?
A headshot session is a 15-minute photo shoot that focuses on the head and shoulders only, seeking to get the best angle and expression for a quick read. A personal branding shoot is a portrait shoot...in the studio or on location. It focuses on a set of images that can complement each other and strengthen your personal or business image. We will take some headshots but also shots showing more of the body in a variety of poses...sitting, standing, not always looking at the camera, and more. A personal branding session lasts about an hour and can include multiple outfits and backgrounds. It can also be extended to a full website or social media shoot.

What should I wear?
Dress appropriately for your field. Solids, stripes and big patterns work best. Avoid shirts and tops with small checks, paisleys, etc. Men, feel free to bring several ties or an alternate jacket to get our advice on! Women should wear matte make-up.

What backgrounds can I choose from?
We have seamless paper backgrounds in white, gray and dark blue. We also have custom-painted-for-us canvas backgrounds in navy and sage/grey. We also utilize the streets of West Hartford Center which are right outside our door and can come to your locaiton.

How many images do I receive and what is the turn-around time?
We have several packages that include different options. We turn-around the final images in two weeks.

What retouching do you offer?
Our goal is to make you look your best--we can retouch hair, skin, teeth, etc. in a most natural and beautiful way.

Do you provide hair/make-up?
No, but we have someone we recommend. We do believe professional make-up makes a difference in these shoots.

Can we shoot outside of the studio?
Yes! We love to shoot on the streets of West Hartford or can come to your local business. We can also do a combination of in studio/West Hartford streets in one session.
